About us
We are a group of experienced, professional, counsellors, based throughout Hertfordshire, who are dedicated to providing affordable counselling, groupwork and workshops to those who have been sexually abused as children. Many of us have been working together a long time so we have a lot of experience and expertise. We also offer advice, information and education to those who work with or support Survivors.
All our counsellors have themselves experienced childhood sexual abuse.
We make a charge for our services of £35 per session, most of our counsellors also have a sliding scale of charges for those on low income or benefits. However in reality these charges barely cover expenses and most of the running and supporting of SACA is voluntary.
All our practising Counsellors are professionally trained, qualified and members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). They are all committed to BACP Code of Ethics and Practice and are professionally supervised and insured.
We are currently working towards re-registering as a charity by reviewing and updating all our policies and procedures to ensure that the service we offer is the best that it can be.
